We did 3 of the trails/hikes. lots of fun and not too busy. Staff in the little store were friendly. The lookout on the Marsh Boardwalk was great. Full review by Nomad27872911731

Beautiful park. The beach was well kept and children could swim freely. We had rented a pavilion for a private birthday party. It was great and had a washroom with running water Full review by Becky P

Hi there, I know for a fact it is VERY DANGEROUS towards the tip. I have lived here my whole life and never go in that part of the water where the two currents meet - it is very choppy and creates basically a rip tide. Even strong swimmers like myself (and I have lifeguard training) do not stand a chance with those undercurrents. Lake Erie can be aggressive and demands respect. I would not even swim within 2 kms of the tip just because the waters tend to be deeper and rougher as you move down. If you want to swim, stay up at the Northwest beach (the one with the large parking lot) and I discourage swimming in anything over your head in that water as it just tends to be very unpredictable. If you stay in the shallows and close to the beach you will be fine. If you do check out the little side beaches along the peninsula (E or W side) that tend to pop up when the water is low, again just avoid going in too deep. The closer to the gates you are the safer the water is basically - the tip = danger! do not go in at the tip please :) I cannot say it enough lol

According to the Point Pelee website, the park hours are: September 7, 2021 to March 31, 2022:open Monday to Sunday 7 a.m. to sunset. Unless you have heard something different from the Park authorities, I would say it is open. There is a gate at the front where you have to pay the fee, so if it is closed you'd be out of luck getting very far.
