Microsoft is aiming to address skepticism about the value of AI in its flagship productivity applications — and justify the premium price for business users — with a new wave of features for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Some of the updates include an AI-assisted collaborative canvas which allows multiple users to interact, edit and make changes at the same time. In a blog post, Jared Spataro, corporate vice president of AI at work at Microsoft, called it "an entirely new work pattern -- multiplayer, human-to-AI-to-human collaboration."

Microsoft has announced updates to its Microsoft 365 Copilot AI assistant, including expanded AI capabilities in individual apps, the ability to create autonomous agents, and a new AI-powered collaboration workspace.
