The Rise of Skywalker may have wrapped up the Skywalker Saga that had been going ever since the Star Wars franchise launched in 1977 with A New Hope, but that doesn’t mean we’re done spending time with characters from the concluding Sequel Trilogy.

Disney’s Star Wars film strategy seems lost in the desert, with plans for future movies centered around Rey as everyone else is dead.

Daisy Ridley's character Rey Skywalker will reportedly appear in "several" upcoming Star Wars films as she's been deemed the galaxy far, far away's "most valuable cinematic asset."

According to THR, Lucasfilm is reportedly convinced that Rey is the future of the franchise and wants to get her back on screen as soon as freaking possible:

But, a new Star Wars trilogy is in the works, and, according to this report, it will feature Rey. So will multiple other movies that are in development, though there are no details on which ones these may be. "She is the most valuable cinematic asset, in some ways maybe the only one, Star Wars has right now," a source told THR.

Rey's New Jedi Order movie still doesn't have a writer, and that could cause major problems in light of other decisions being made at Lucasfilm.
