In return for allowing AI video company Runway access to its content catalog, Lionsgate will get a custom AI model.

Burns, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, said the studio plans to first use Runway for storyboarding, and later, for creating backgrounds and special effects for its movies.

Runway will create a custom model trained upon Lionsgate's library of more than 20,000 film and TV titles including The Hunger Games.
